II. Demos by YWN
What can I really say about YWN... They started out ripping other people's pages and changing the text, releasing huge megademos full of ripped pages. After a bit of head-butting, I finally managed to get Shadow/YWN to see the light and stop ripping pages, but he could just never get the hang of actually coding demos. Things like smooth scrolling and rasterbars just didn't seem to click with the kid. Regardless, he put out some of the funniest damn demos in the scene. Shadow/YWN may not have been the best coder, or an artist, and he may have ripped a lot, but he was one of the funniest, most imaginative rag-demo creators in the local scene. My hat's off to him for the always-hilarious classic "The Nut Demo", which always seems to get played whenever I get together with old sceners.
